Getting into running

Getting into running

Getting into running, we all have to start somewhere and it’s important not to start by comparing yourself to others. Every person has different abilities so it’s just about being the best that you can be. Live by the theory of better than yesterday.

In road running the hardest part is not finishing the first run it’s starting the first run. Once you accept that, everything gets easier. Here are practical and mental tips;

– Don’t overthink it, just go.
– Don’t stress your pace. (Easy effort)
– Stay on track with a training plan.
– Get the correct running gear.

The first run has nothing to do with pace, nothing to do with distance it’s all about starting it and ending it, and wanting to do a next run. The easiest way to get moving on a consistent basis is to work towards a goal. Slowly build your endurance and distance through training plan. You’ll learn a lot of running terminology as you building up endurance.

To conclude running is emotional and psychological journey pay attention to how running makes you feel, it should be a source of joy and satisfaction not a struggle.
